Installing and running SAM

We recommend that you follow the steps below to make sure you get the most out of this CD.

Print the Installation Guide

Get the installation instructions for the SAM demo.

Install Flash Player
(Required)

 If you don't have Flash Player, install it now BEFORE viewing videos.
View Full SAM Overview (213Mb) or View SAM Overview (No Ortho) (10Mb)

Get a better understanding of the Spatial Adjustment Manager. NOTE: The full version may take up to 2 minutes to load before it runs. It has some extra information but the main reason for its size is the Orthophoto in the background.

For Internet connections please view the "SAM Overview (No Ortho)"

Install ActiveX Controls
(Required)

 If you haven't already done so, install the ActiveX controls from ERMapper. This is needed to render the .ecw file included.

Install SAM (Required)

 Download and Install the Spatial Adjustment Manager (trial version).
View Activating SAM Learn how to activate your trial version of SAM.
Activate SAM Use SAM to activate the SAM trial version or purchase full version via internet access.
View File Associations Learn how to link the '.SAMLgnd' file extension to the SAM application.
Associate file with SAM Link the '.SAMLgnd' file to the '_AusGIS.exe' application following instructions of the previous step.
Upgrade a work area Do a spatial adjustment on one or more work areas included in this CD.
View additional information Study the information contained in this CD.
